Ohio included in recall of egg product

The USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection service has issued a recall for approximately 4,620 pounds of liquid egg products due to misbranding and undeclared dairy allergens. The products, produced by Michael Foods Inc. of Gaylord, Minn., were made on June 11 and include Fair Meadow Foundations Whole Eggs with Citric Acid in 32-ounce cartons with a use-by date of 16 SEP 24. The products were shipped to restaurants in Ohio, as well as Alabama, Idaho, Louisiana, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, South Carolina, and Utah. Customers are advised to check their refrigerators for the recalled products and either throw them away or return them to the place of purchase. For more information, customers can contact Kristina Larsen of Michael Foods Inc. at kristina.larsen@michaelfoods.com or 952-258-4903. The USDA meat and poultry hotline can also be reached at 888-674-6854 for questions or concerns. Recalls and updates are posted online on the USDA website.
