Head coach Kelly Amonte Hiller has introduced the final roster of 22 players that will compete for the United States in the 2024 World Lacrosse Women’s U20 Championship in Hong Kong from August 15-24. The team was selected after a training camp at USA Lacrosse headquarters in June. The chosen players come from high schools in nine states, with eight players from the 2024 NCAA championship game, including IWLCA All-Americans Shea Dolce, Emma LoPinto, and Madison Taylor.
The team’s next training camp will be held at Northwestern University in July, followed by a final camp in Northern California in August before the championship in Asia. The age group for the event was raised to U20 after the 2019 championship, where Amonte Hiller led the U.S. to a gold medal. The U.S has won the event five times, with Australia and Canada also claiming victories.
The roster includes players from various clubs and high schools, with commitments to colleges such as Duke, Northwestern, and North Carolina. The U.S. Women’s National Team trains and plays using top equipment from Cascade Maverik, Gait Lacrosse, and STX, supported by partners like Gatorade, MedStar Health, and Stryker. Funding for the national teams is provided by donors to the USA Lacrosse Foundation.
USA Lacrosse, a nonprofit organization recognized by the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee, governs men’s and women’s lacrosse in the country. With over 400,000 members nationwide, USA Lacrosse aims to unite players, coaches, officials, and program leaders to inspire participation, enhance the athlete experience, and promote the growth of the sport.
