Celebrity chef Guy Fieri is making his way back to his home state of Ohio to celebrate the opening of his new Italian concept restaurant, Guy Fieri’s Trattoria, inside Scioto Downs in Columbus on June 2. Fieri himself will be on site for a private ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 30. The restaurant will feature classic Italian American fare, including favorites like meatballs, chicken parmigiana, and homemade lasagna. The venue will have an old-school Italian feel with various dining areas, a private room, and a bar.
The opening of Trattoria comes after Fieri’s Flavortown Festival, originally planned for the same weekend in Columbus, was canceled earlier this year. The festival promised a fusion of food and funk, embodying Fieri’s dynamic personality and charitable ethos.
Fieri, born in Columbus in 1968, has a restaurant group that includes various Flavortown Hot Spot concepts. This new Italian restaurant marks his return to the Ohio dining scene after briefly operating a ghost kitchen concept in the capital city. Guests are excited to experience Fieri’s new restaurant and indulge in his signature bold flavors.
