USMNT fans at Arrowhead Stadium left frustrated by USA vs Uruguay camera angles

The U.S. men’s national team is playing Uruguay in the final group stage game at Copa America 2024. Fans were frustrated by the camera angle of the broadcast from Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, which resembled the “All-22” NFL broadcast angle. This angle was changed during the game, much to the delight of viewers. The high camera angle was from the world feed provided by CONMEBOL, according to FOX, the main broadcaster. The USMNT needed an upset to avoid elimination after a 2-1 defeat to Panama in the second group stage game. Arrowhead Stadium, typically a football stadium, hosted the match between USA and Uruguay. The Copa America 2024 features 16 teams divided into four groups of four teams each. The top two finishers in each group advance to the knockout stage, while the bottom two are eliminated. The knockout stage begins with the quarterfinals on July 4, with a single-elimination bracket played through to the final on July 14. The tournament started on June 20 with defending champions Argentina facing playoff winners Canada. Fans took to social media to criticize the camera angle, leading to FOX producers recognizing and attempting to fix the problem. Despite the broadcast issues, viewers were eager to see the USMNT face Uruguay in a crucial match to determine their fate in the tournament.
