Local tennis teams showcased their skills in the USTA Junior Team Tennis competition in Columbus Ohio, with Team Greenmont finishing in third place and Team MOVTA in seventh place. The Parkersburg South girls basketball camp is set to take place from July 29 to July 31, offering different sessions for various age groups with registration available online. The Wirt County High School volleyball team will be hosting a golf scramble on July 27 at Mingo Bottom Golf Club, with registration starting at 8 a.m. and prizes for first and second place.
In other exciting news, tickets are currently on sale for the 20th OVAC Hall of Fame Induction Banquet, happening on August 10 in Wheeling. The event will honor inductees from various categories, including athletes and coaches from different eras, as well as legends of the OVAC and recipients of the Dennis Magruder Distinguished Service Award.
