The United States men’s basketball team narrowly avoided a huge upset by beating South Sudan 101-100 with a game-winning shot by LeBron James. Despite trailing by 14 points at halftime, the US was able to come back and secure the win. LeBron James finished with 23 points, 6 assists, and 6 rebounds in the game. The team had previously won three pre-Olympic games and will play Germany next before the Olympics begin. The Paris Olympics open on July 26, with the US men’s team playing their first game against Serbia two days later.
