The International Exposition Center in Cleveland will host the National Sports Collectors Convention from July 24 to 28. The event will feature legendary athletes from various sports signing autographs for fans, along with popular entertainers. Autograph collecting has been a popular hobby for years, with some collectors seeking rare signatures or those of specific players or teams.
Prices for autographs at the convention will range from $20 to $500-plus, depending on the player. Notable athletes like Albert Pujols, David Ortiz, Reggie Jackson, and Manny Ramirez will be in attendance. Collectors can also expect to meet members of the 1999 U.S. women’s World Cup soccer championship team.
Organized by Tristar Productions, the convention will feature a wide range of athletes and entertainers each day, such as Hall of Famers and sports legends. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase autographs and memorabilia from their favorite stars during the five-day event.
The convention is an annual affair that rotates between cities, but for Tristar Productions, the work is a year-round commitment. A team of 70 to 75 staffers will help coordinate every aspect of logistics for the event, from flights and accommodations to transportation for the stars.
Overall, the National Sports Collectors Convention promises to be a memorable experience for sports fans and collectors, offering the opportunity to meet and interact with some of the most iconic figures in sports history.
