Richard W. Clagg, a partner at Oths, Heiser, Miller, Waigand & Clagg, LLC in Jackson, has begun a three-year term on the Ohio State Bar Association Board of Governors. He was elected by his peers to represent District 8, which includes several counties in Ohio. The Board of Governors is a 24-member volunteer body that manages the Association’s business affairs and sets policy on behalf of Ohio Bar members. Clagg is also involved in the Jackson County Bar Association, the Ross County Bar Association, and his community, where he serves as an elder in his church and on the Jackson County Planning Commission.
Before joining the Board of Governors, Clagg served on the Ohio Bar’s Council of Delegates. He earned his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University and his law degree from Capital University Law School. Founded in 1880, the Ohio State Bar Association is the state’s largest legal network, representing attorneys, judges, legal professionals, and law students who uphold the highest standards in the practice of law. The Association works to promote justice and advance the legal profession.
