Ohio State lands transfer from Kansas State veteran guard Ques Glover

Ohio State Buckeyes are welcoming veteran guard Ques Glover for the upcoming 2024-25 season after losing Taison Chatman to a season-ending knee injury. Glover, a Knoxville, Tennessee native, has played in 99 games over four seasons at Florida, Samford, and Kansas State, where he missed the entire 2023-24 season due to a knee injury. In his first year at Samford, Glover averaged 19.2 points per game and was named a first-team all-Southern Conference pick.

This will be Glover’s sixth year of college basketball due to a medical redshirt last season, allowing him to use the extra year of eligibility granted to players who participated in the 2020-21 season. He is expected to provide experience in the backcourt for new head coach Jake Diebler, alongside guards Bruce Thornton and Meechie Johnson Jr.

Glover’s addition to the roster comes after Chatman’s injury left a void that needed to be filled. Ohio State is also set to add an international center to its roster, bringing the total number of players to 14 for 13 scholarships. While Glover will have scholarship-level expectations, he will technically be classified as a preferred walk-on with his expenses covered through an NIL deal with THE Foundation.

Glover’s journey through various collegiate programs has seen its ups and downs, including a brief stint at BYU and a meniscus injury at Samford. Despite these challenges, Glover’s experience and scoring ability make him a valuable addition to the Buckeyes’ roster for the upcoming season.
