Esther Paragulla, a 33-year-old woman, is facing charges after evading approximately 10 highway patrol cruisers during a high-speed chase through Trumbull and Portage counties in Ohio. The chase, which lasted almost 30 minutes, was captured on dash and body camera video. In the footage, multiple cruisers can be seen chasing Paragulla as she reached speeds of over 100 mph.
Despite law enforcement’s attempts to stop her using stop sticks, the chase continued until Paragulla finally pulled over and was arrested. During the arrest, she seemed confused and asked officers why she was being arrested, claiming she had no idea.
Paragulla, who hails from New Jersey, has been charged with excessive speed, failure to comply, and felonious assault. She has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity and is set to undergo a psychiatric evaluation as per court records.
