Kathie Lee Gifford, a familiar face from daytime television, is recovering after fracturing her pelvis in a fall at her home. The 70-year-old had recently undergone a hip replacement before the accident occurred. Gifford, known for her time as co-host on “Live! With Regis and Kathie Lee” and “Today” with Hoda Kotb, was in the hospital for a week following the fall. She shared that the fracture was more painful than anything she experienced with her hip replacement and decided to stay in the hospital for rehabilitation.
The fall happened as Gifford was going outside to meet a friend, where she tripped at the door and exacerbated the situation by moving heavy books during a book signing the previous day. Reflecting on the incident, she highlighted the challenges of aging and how quickly one’s body can change.
Gifford’s career spans beyond television, as she has released albums, acted in TV and movies, and authored multiple books. Despite the setback, Gifford remains in good spirits and optimistic about her recovery. Fans and colleagues have expressed their support and well wishes for her speedy recovery.
