Several thefts were reported in Rocky River, Ohio, over the past few days, keeping the police department busy. On July 16, a resident reported her wallet and purse were stolen from her unlocked car overnight. Fortunately, a morning jogger found the woman’s wallet on Hilliard Boulevard and returned it to her. The police are currently investigating the theft.
In another incident on the same day, a driver was cited for operating a Chevy Silverado with expired license plates. The driver had been previously warned about the expired tags in June. This time, the 38-year-old driver was cited and the truck was impounded.
On July 17, a resident in Rocky River reported an attempted break-in of his car and the theft of his 2019 Honda Pilot from his driveway. The resident witnessed a man wearing a ski mask exiting a black Dodge Durango parked on the street. The thief rummaged through the resident’s unlocked cars before finding the keys to the Honda and stealing it. Detectives are currently investigating the incident.
