The Bay Village Police Department in Ohio has recently dealt with several incidents of suspicious activity in the area. On July 16, a resident reported receiving phishing emails from eBay and the Social Security Administration, prompting authorities to remind the public to report such emails as spam. Another resident reported their car being entered overnight, with officers currently investigating the situation. In a separate incident, a resident reported their former spouse trespassing in their home, leading to the former spouse’s arrest after an investigation by officers. Additionally, two individuals were found trespassing on a private beach and given a warning by police.
The Bay Village Police Department is also reminding residents to be cautious of phishing emails from the Social Security Administration and to be mindful of speeding on side streets and 25 mph roads in the area such as Ashton Lane, Dover Center Road, and Walker Road. Police patrols will be increased in these areas to address complaints of speeding.
