West Ham United near deal for Füllkrug and secure Summerville’s signing in transfer update

Borussia Dortmund have allowed striker Niclas Füllkrug to leave their pre-season training camp to discuss a potential move to an unnamed club, with West Ham reportedly interested. Füllkrug, who scored 12 goals in the Bundesliga last season, could be making a switch to England as new West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui looks to bolster his attacking options.

Meanwhile, West Ham have completed the signing of Leeds winger Crysencio Summerville for a reported initial fee of £25m, potentially rising to £34m with add-ons. The 22-year-old, who was last season’s Championship player of the year, expressed his excitement about joining the club and working with Lopetegui to achieve success in the upcoming season.

Fulham have also made a signing, securing the services of defender Jorge Cuenca from Villarreal for an undisclosed fee. The Spanish centre-back has signed a four-year deal with the Premier League club and is eager to play in England’s top flight.

In other transfer news, Borussia Dortmund have confirmed the arrival of Yan Couto on a season-long loan from Manchester City, with an option for a permanent deal next summer. Couto expressed his excitement at joining the club, calling it a dream come true. Atlético Madrid has strengthened their squad with the signings of Spain centre-back Robin Le Normand and Villarreal striker Alexander Sørloth. Le Normand joins from Real Sociedad for €30m, while Sørloth arrives for €35m to replace Álvaro Morata as their starting centre-forward.
