Man claiming to be deity streaks through Mayfield Heights streets: Police report


Authorities in Mayfield Heights, Ohio, responded to a series of incidents in early September, including disorderly conduct, theft, fraud, and property crimes.

One notable incident involved a naked man running near Lander Road claiming to be God and uncontrollable. It took force to subdue him, and he had to be restrained on a gurney. Another incident at a Game Stop store involved a woman with three young children stealing items – police are trying to identify her.

An 18-year-old man was arrested for stealing snacks at a Sheetz convenience store and possessing a stolen gun. Additionally, a man reported falling victim to a rental scam, sending payments through PayPal.

Other incidents included attempted theft at Target, a stolen cell phone at Target, and a theft from a vehicle where credit card fraud occurred. Surveillance footage helped identify suspects, leading to arrest warrants being issued.

In a separate incident, a woman reported an inappropriate encounter with a hotel kitchen employee. The woman’s attorney advised her to pursue potential public indecency charges.
