Cleveland’s Severance Music Center is set to host a free concert on September 14 in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. The event will feature local Latin jazz legend Sammy DeLeon y su Orquesta, who will perform with a 22-member ensemble and special guests. The concert will be hosted by salsa historian Eileen Torres.
In addition to DeLeon’s performance, the concert will also include an opening act by Mariachi Sirenas, an 11-member all-women mariachi group. The evening will kick off at 6 p.m. with pre-concert drinks and dancing in the Grand Foyer with DJ IAmYulissa.
Tickets for the event are free but required, and can be obtained at the Severance Ticket Office in person, by phone, or online. For those looking for more cultural experiences in Cleveland, suggestions can be sent to Paris Wolfe at pwolfe@cleveland.com.
This promises to be a lively and energetic night celebrating Hispanic culture through music and dance, featuring talented local performers and special guests. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the vibrant sounds of Latin jazz and mariachi music at one of Cleveland’s premier music venues.
