School district employee in northern Ohio confesses to child-sex crimes

In Sandusky, Ohio, a former employee of Sandusky City Schools, Terrin Schnee, has pleaded guilty to two counts of unlawful sexual conduct as part of a plea deal. The 39-year-old faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine on each count. He must also register as a Tier II sex offender for the next 25 years. Five counts of sexual imposition and one count of an attempt to commit unlawful sexual conduct with a minor were dismissed as part of the plea deal.

Schnee, who was an intervention specialist for Sandusky City Schools, was accused of having sexual contact with a child between the ages of 13 and 16 between January 7 and February 3. It has not been specified if the victim was a student at the school where Schnee worked. He was placed on leave in March and was fired in September.

Schnee is scheduled to be sentenced on November 14 and remains free on bond. His guilty plea and upcoming sentencing have raised concerns in the community and the school district where he worked. Sandusky City Schools has not commented publicly on the case.

This situation serves as a reminder of the importance of protecting minors from abuse and ensuring the safety of students in educational environments. As the legal proceedings continue, the community will be watching closely for updates on the sentencing and any further developments in the case.
