Open House Event Hosted by Middle Bucks Institute of Technology


Middle Bucks Institute of Technology (MBIT) in Jamison, PA is hosting an open house on Thursday, November 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. for students and families from the Central Bucks, Council Rock, New Hope-Solebury, and the Centennial School Districts. The event will include two informational sessions at 6 and 7 p.m., as well as student-led demonstrations showcasing MBIT’s programs. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet faculty, staff, and students, learn about various careers, and explore MBIT’s curriculum and work-based learning options.

Dr. Mark Covelle, MBIT’s administrative director, emphasized the importance of hands-on experience in career and technical education (CTE) and highlighted the school’s record interest, enrollment, and achievement. MBIT offers 21 career pathways that equip students with the skills and industry credentials needed for over 21,000 career opportunities. The programs also have articulation agreements with post-secondary institutions, giving students a competitive advantage in the workforce and college attendance.

Through innovative and relevant career and technical education programs, MBIT prepares high school students for high-wage, high-skill, and in-demand careers. Students can earn industry certifications and post-secondary credits in fields such as cosmetology, culinary arts, healthcare, and engineering. MBIT serves students in grades 10-12 from the surrounding school districts and is located at 2740 York Road in Jamison.

The open house is a valuable opportunity for prospective students, parents, and community members to witness firsthand the benefits of CTE and explore the various opportunities available at MBIT. With state-of-the-art technology, world-class faculty, and hands-on training, MBIT aims to provide students with the skills and experiences necessary for success in their chosen career paths.
