Ohio high school girls’ basketball coach put on paid administrative leave

Youngstown East High School girls basketball coach Anthony Pastella has been placed on paid administrative leave as an investigation is conducted into his leadership of the Golden Bears. Pastella was appointed head coach in May after previously working as an assistant at the Struthers School District. The Youngstown City School District has not provided specific details about the reasons for the investigation. The Golden Bears are scheduled to start their regular season without Pastella on Friday night. The team finished the previous season with a 10-9 record.
