Wheeling Park, Wheeling Central, Linsly School, John Marshall, Steubenville, Shadyside, St. Clairsville, and Martins Ferry are all gearing up for the 2024 high school football season with hopes of success and improvement. Wheeling Park is looking to make another playoff run with a new group of players, while Wheeling Central had a young team last season under Hall of Fame Coach Mike Young. Linsly School is coming off a successful 9-1 season and is aiming to defend their OVAC championship title. John Marshall aims to bounce back from a 1-9 season, focusing on improving their offensive line. Steubenville, a powerhouse in recent years, is adjusting to a move back to Division III as they pursue another regional title. Shadyside is looking to replace key players in their backfield and wide receiver positions after two 3-8 seasons. St. Clairsville had a strong 9-3 season last year, and Head Coach Brett McLean is proud of their success. Martins Ferry, despite a slight decrease in numbers, is confident in their returning talent after a 5-5 regular season. With dedication and hard work, these teams are ready to hit the field and showcase their skills in the upcoming season.
