Search Conducted at Kentucky Landfill for 15-Year-Old Autistic Teen from Tennessee

Authorities in Tennessee and Kentucky are conducting a massive search for 15-year-old Sebastian Wayne Drake Rogers, a boy with autism who went missing in late February. Sebastian was last seen at his home on Feb. 26, 2024, wearing all black and carrying a flashlight. His mother put him to bed the night before and discovered he was missing the next morning. A search was launched, with helicopters, drones, and search-and-rescue dogs used to look for Sebastian.

Despite extensive efforts, no leads were found. Authorities even searched a Kentucky landfill where garbage from Sebastian’s county was taken, but nothing was uncovered. Sebastian’s family is holding onto hope for his safe return, with his father urging him to find a way to call for help if he can.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is asking residents, especially in the area around Beech High School, to check their property for any signs of Sebastian. Law enforcement is also urging people to review surveillance footage from the days around Sebastian’s disappearance for any clues. Anyone with information on Sebastian’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the Sumner County Emergency Center.

Sheriff Sonny Weatherford expressed dedication to continuing the search for Sebastian and providing closure to his family. As the search continues, the community is asked to remain vigilant, and any information, no matter how small, could be crucial in locating the missing teenager.
