Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku is set to host the annual celebrity softball game at Classic Park in Eastlake, Ohio on Saturday, June 8. The event will feature a home run derby at 4 p.m. with gates opening at 2 p.m. Last year’s event saw Browns defensive back Greg Newsome and Cavaliers’ Donovan Mitchell participating, with Mitchell winning the derby. Past participants have included Browns’ stars such as Myles Garrett, Kareem Hunt, Denzel Ward, Baker Mayfield, and Bernie Kosar, as well as UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, and former Ohio State receiver Ted Ginn Jr. Former Browns Joe Haden and Jarvis Landry have served as team captains in the past.
Tickets for the event range from $22 to $60 and can be purchased on captainsbaseball.com. Celebrity participants for this year’s game have yet to be announced.
