Four University of Missouri volleyball players will represent the Tigers at the 2025 USA Volleyball Women’s National Team Open Program. Maya Sands, Marina Crownover, Kimani Johnson, and Caylen Alexander will participate in the tryouts, which will be streamed live on BallerTV. Sands, a standout libero, led Missouri’s defense in the previous season and received numerous accolades. Crownover, on the other hand, tallied a career-high in assists during her redshirt sophomore season. Johnson redshirted in 2024 while Alexander, a Hawaii transfer, has an impressive record with over 1,000 kills and several awards.
The USA Volleyball Women’s National Team Open Program serves as a platform for selection to the U.S. Women’s National Team and U.S. Women’s Collegiate National Team. Additionally, various age-group national teams will compete in events such as the Volleyball Nations League and Pan American Cup. The program also includes a Women’s U23 National Team for the first time. This event will provide opportunities for young athletes to showcase their skills and potentially represent the United States in international competitions.
