University of Delaware athletic director Chrissi Rawak has been named the new CEO and president of USA Swimming, taking over from Tim Hinchey. Rawak, who was previously with the Michigan athletic department and also served as an assistant coach for the swimming and diving team, was recognized as Athletic Director of the Year in 2024. She led a successful $38 million fundraising campaign for a new athletic department facility at the University of Delaware. Rawak’s appointment comes after Hinchey’s departure from the governing body of one of the largest Olympic sports following the Paris Games. Rawak’s extensive experience in athletic administration and her success in fundraising and leadership roles make her well-suited for her new position with USA Swimming.
